'fan-fik: fiction written by people who enjoy a film, novel, television show or other media work, using the characters and situations developed in it and developing new plots in which to use these characters. Characters and props from more than one media work may also be incorporated into a single fanfiction (known as crossovers). Such stories are usually written without the expectation of profit.

So far, I have completed just one such story (right now I'm hard at work on #2) but that story was actually started back in 1978 when the majesty and mythos that was at the core of Battlestar Galactica first grabbed the imagination of a young, neophyte writer, someone who had never before been inspired to write something completely new.  I credit BSG with igniting my desire to become a professional writer.

It was my discovery of the internet-based fans of BSG, and the wealth of fanfic already written there, that inspired me to take that story back down off the shelf and polish it.  'To Thine Own Self' is linked below.

I post my fanfic for general consumption at Colonial Fleets and Battlestar Galactica Club.  And, of course, here.
